Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Garden, nicknamed as Non-Hoi Park is located about 10 minutes walk from JR Futagawa station south exit. Dinosaurs and animal statues will lead you to the park. The park is an ideal place for family travelers with children, it has a small amusement park, a zoo, a botanical garden and Japanese garden and "Monet Garden". And a natural history museum is one of the best of its kind in Japan. You can see the animals from the observation tower.

South gate of Futagawa station.

To get to JR Futagawa station from Nagoya you have to first change trains from Toyohashi and get a local train from Toyohashi to Hamamatsu which runs about 3 to 4 services an hour. Non-Hoi Park is about ten minutes walk from JR Futagawa station south exit only one station east of Toyohashi. You will not find it so difficult to get to the amusement park because lots of animal and dinosaur statues are arranged on the road to the park. Now get off at the south gate and start walking. While south exit of JR Futagawa station serves as a gateway to the Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park(Non Noi Park), north exit is the start of Futagawa post station about 15 minutes walk east from the station. About 10 minutes walk west from the station is Iwaya Ryokuchi Park where Iwaya Kannon statue on the top of the bluff stands.
