In June-July it is rainy season , it can be cool and rainy or warm and rainy, so make sure you have a light jacket and folding umbrella. Summer is hot and humid, but you may need a light jacket to prevent yourself from freezing in air-conditioned hotels and restaurants! You'll need a fairly heavy coat in the winter since it can snow in Nagoya. Comfortable walking shoes are a must and slip-ons are highly recommended.
Photo Equipment: Camera film purchased at a discount electronics shop is one of the few things cheaper in Japan. Throw away cameras are also readily available.
Luggage and bags: Make sure you have plenty of room in your suitcase. There are tons of great deals in Nagoya's shopping district, Ossu-Kannon.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring comfortable shoes. There will be a lot of walking to do if you can't afford a cab.
