Yaki-niku is raw meat they serve to you, and you cook it at your table. I found a great restaurant near Nagoya Station. There are three other locations in the city.
Karubi is the best. It's beef and there are two kinds. One is sliced thinly while the other is a chunk. Delicious. Hmmmmmm.
Another great choice is Bibinba. It's rice with yaki-niku, spinach, and spices that's truly tasty. Nothing quite like it back home. The epitome of ethnic cuisine, Raffles was founded a decade ago by an expatriate Englishman who had traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia before settling in Japan. His original shop, a little off the beaten path, proved so successful he was able to build his own place in a more convenient location.
