The cafe is located near the bridge linking Cocola Front and Cocola Avenue newly opened shopping mall near the start of Toyohashi Railway Atsumi line. Saru is a Japanese word for monkey. Many of the diners at the restaurant are young people or couples with small children. There is a room for group reservation at the far corner of the restaurant. I order a set menu called Kuriimu Be-ekon-Pasuta, Japanese word for Creamy Pasta with Bacon for 850 yen. There are wide variety of drinks to choose from such as:
Coffee(hot or cold) Black Tea(Kocha), Hot/Cold, oolong tea(Uuron cha)Hot/Cold Jasmin Tea Hot/Cold, Grapefruit juice, Ginger ale, cola, orange juice, White Water(Asahi Drink product), white soda, pink soda, Chibinama(small jug of beer? I guess), and glass of wine. For extra 150 yen you can also choose either of two dessert or sweet. I tried cheesecake that day.
Starbucks cafe restaurant on the first floor of Cocola Front. The catch is when you seat at window seat you might get your paper-cup cappuccino blown away because it is near the entrance facing winter gust.
Favorite Dish: I ordered cappuccino short for 340 yen.
Aloha Table is one of the fancy restaurants in Cocola Front. It is a part of franchised chains run by Zetton Inc. best known by its bridal brand Heritage Bridal Collection. The restaurant caters to various kinds of visitors needs from lunch menu services starting from 500 to 700 yen reasonable lunch menus to Dinner time services.
Lunch services 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Mon.-Fri)
Gyoza-no-Oushou, one of the major Chinese restaurant chains in Japan based in Yamashima, Kyoto has more than 600 shops in Japan. I often have lunch there at Toyohashi Ekimae shop when I visit Toyohashi. It is really located in convenient place near the bus terminal and has wide variety of menus. As the chain name suggest they boast gyoza(jiaozi) menus. Menus are written entirely in Japanese so when you want to order what you want you will need to point to the menu. That day I ordered Fried Rice with Shrimp and some corns(EBI-CORN-CHAAHAN) for 504 yen(tax included).
Open: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.(Monday to Saturday), 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.(Sunday)
Note: Discount of Fried Rice with Shrimp and Corn lasts until September 30.
