Toyokawa Transportation

Toyokawa and Toyohashi are often toured together. Particularly visiting both Toyokawa Inari in Toyokawa and Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Garden(Non Hoi Park) is a popular one.

1 Toyokawa Inari, Toyohashi Park(Yoshida Castle), and Orthodox Church.
After visiting Toyokawa Inari, take Iida Line from Toyokawa and get off at Toyohashi station. Toyohashi Park is about 15 to 20 minutes from the station so use the tram to save time if necessary.
2 Toyokawa Inari and Non Hoi Park.
To get to Non Hoi Park, after taking Iida line from Toyokawa, you need to change trains at Toyohashi and take Tokaido Main Line bound for Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Okitsu, Mishima and Atami and never Nagoya, Gifu, or Ogaki. What's confising is that the train for Nagoya or Hamamatsu may start from the same platform. Check carefully if the train is westbound(kudari) or eastbound(Nobori). Futagawa is the next station from Toyohashi and get off at south exit with dinosaur flower statue. The amusement park is ten minutes from the station. Just follow along the animal and dinosaur statues.
3 Toyokawa Inari and Futagawa-juku Honjin Museum.
To get to Futagawa-juku, get to Futagawa station as mentioned above. But from the station get off at north exit with mountain view. From the station turn right along the road and walk about 15 mintutes.
