To get to each city take the Komachi (name of the bullet train) on the Tohoku Shinkansen (route).

To get to each destination (eg. Lake Tazawa), take the local bus. If possible, please check the timetables one day in advance. As this is a remote part of Japan, there're not too many regular buses. One can either check it with any JR Stations or call up & ask. Most JR Stations have the schedules of the entire JR network of routes. Incredibly efficient! Your job is only to convey your queries in Japanese (except for big cities stations like Tokyo, Sendai, Kyoto or Osaka). Good Luck :)
