Ocean Deep in Chiba is one of the rare bars I will come back to.
The drinks are not expensive, the food is good, well presented and well priced.

It's worth the extra minute to walk there from Chiba station, west exit, it's behind the Lawsons and stays open very late cos people don't want to leave
The people are a mix of Japanese, US, Australian, European, and more.
Each night has a theme, so you might get caught up in a cheap drinks time or watch the bellydancing or the salsa.
There are no hidden costs, no extra money to pay and no issues.
I found it's a bar to meet new people, learn new things and create memories of a happy night there .. I didn't even feel like I was in Japan, it's such an internaitonal bar.

There are lots of clubs lined up in Chiba, mostly filled with Filipinas. The rates rise steeply after 10 pm. You'll see lots of people standing outside on the streets outside these clubs inviting you to visit their place.
You can drink together and chat up with these hostesses but be cautious about the bill. They add up lots of other things to the pre-decided rate like singing, dancing, etc.
But quite a nice experience. Not on my pocket though. Costed 6000 yens for an hour spent there!!
