Ichiran Rhamen by stonefree Hakata rhamen is one of the "must eat" taste among Japan's rhamen. I love Hakata taste best. Hakata rhamen can taste with the white soup that is cooked with boiling pig leg born. Very heavy and rich taste. This shop is very famous for its rhamen is said great. And the shop is one of the origins that let Hakata rhamen famous as they say today. But, somehow I feel sorry, I know some other shops much better than this today...
They has no menu. Only one rhamen. But you can order the taste as you like in full detail. Soup thick level: 4, hot/sharp level: 3, noodle strong level: 2... About 10 of categories like those can set by each level 5 to 1. Leave a Comment

Tetsunabe Gyoza by stonefree "Tetsu" is "iron" and "Nabe" is "pan", the shop's name "Tetsunabe" may comes from how they serve gyoza to a table. Ordinary, gyoza is served on a china dish to your table but it's served on a iron pan that the ordered gyoza might have grilled on in this shop. The shop is kinda izakaya style common restaurant. I mean it's not too formal. Very local.
One and only... GYOZA!!! The shop serves them with yuzu orange paste and this is what very unique they serves. Gyoza with yuzu... not ordinary but very much delicious! Leave a Comment

Having been going through withdrawals of Mexican food for months, after a few excellent Japanese meals, a friend recommended La Borracha to us. It definitely satiated our cravings. The decor and food is authentic Mexican, with the owner having learned his trade in Mexico.
I personally liked the enchiladas, postres and mojitos. They were all wonderful. There is a selection of Mexican beers and appetizers. The pulpos de marinara were a highlight too! Hakata Ramen by WaRPer If something doesn't popped up, let's start at Hakata Station's basement. Wide-varieties of food and snack; from pastry to Traditional Japanese. This time I want to recommend Hakata Ramen. Typical Hakata Ramen in thick white pork-bone soup, the noodle is a little slimmer than ramen from other parts of the country, topped with 2 slices of shashu pork slices and spring onions. This set (in the picture) has a bowl of ramen, Mentaiko (pickled cod roe) rice and Gyoza (fried dumplings) for only 740 Yen.

Fugunabe restaurant by WaRPer If you wanna try something a little risky, this might be what you're looking!! I found this restaurant on Hakata Station's basement (again) and what clicked me is that the price isn't as expensive as I expected. Like what I had that evening, an Ika set; Fugu Slice appitizer + fresh white squid Sashimi + Tempura Tago (giant squid) + rice + soup + a glass of beer at only 1500Y. And another Fugu Nabe (hotpot) at a very reasonable price. -- Only restaurants with license can sell Fugu, as we know it's poisonous --

Ramen Stadium by SueWarwick if you want to sample the local speciality noodles but dont fancy trying your luck at the street stalls, head for Canal City. Ramen Stadium takes up the entire 5th floor and is full of ramen restaurants. Each restuarant has a vending maching outside. Pick what you want from the pictures on the buttons (not always easy) and put the paymen in the machine. For each item you pick, the machine prints out a voucher, hand this in at the counter and within minutes you get a big bowl of noodles. Watch out though, it can become messy!!
I went for noodles in a spicy soup with sweetcorn, beansprouts and pork. Lovely and very filling. Very good value for 850 Yen (less than £5) Also get unlinmited free iced water Leave a Comment

Hakata Station by amambaw Hakata Station has an entire level devoted to one of my favorite things - food! There are dozens of little restaurants and cafes offering all sorts of fare. If you're looking for something Western, stop for some pasta or pizza at one of the delis. Want to try some traditional Japanese treats? Head to one of the sushi bars or noodle shops. I tried two little places while I was there: a pub-style place offering pasta and yaki, and a sushi bar (a must!). Prices will vary depending on where you eat. Hakata Ramen by kiwigal_1 This famous dish of 'Chinese' origin is at its best right here in Fukuoka!! Many great street Ramen spots crop up on the weekends around Tenjin and Nakasu. Great for those after drinking munchies!!! Leave a Comment

Ramen by kiwigal_1 Fukuoka has so many great eating establishments. There are quite a few beer gardens and yatai which are outdoor eating stalls. I think the best ones can be found in Tenjin and Nakasu area both of which can be reached for 100yen by bus. Leave a Comment
