Robatayaki Takazawa, is a Robatayaki Restaurant, serves delicious sea food and Yakitori, and Japanese liqueur such as Sake and Syocyu.

    KOKURA AND KUROSAKI

    by kiwigal_1 Updated Jun 17, 2004

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Kitakyushu has two main places with nightlife and restaurants (although there are great restaurants found everywhere!). These two places are called Kokura and Kurosaki.

In Kokura my favourite places to go were Xelha's (a bar and restaurat popular with foreigners which has dancing after 11pm on Friday's and Saturday's) and Kurofune. Kurofune is a 'Yakitori' restaurant and has great food and a great atmosphere which also has a smaller restaurant in Kurosaki . In Kurosaki it is best to walk around and find a small place that you like the look of. There are lots of interesting izakaya's dotted all over.

    MOJIKO

    Blue Wing Bridge - Mojiko

The port area of Moji incorporates both old and new areas of interest to visitors to Kitakyushu.
This 'Blue Wing' pedestrian bridge, which is unique in Japan is surrounded by pedestrian promenades and interesting shops.

There is a great restaurant just near the bridge (look for the German flags nearby) which brews their own beer and serves excellent steak and seafood.
It is a nice place to relax after a day touring the Mojiko area and watch the sunset.
