Ishibashi Museum of Art was opened in 1956, and forms the nucleus of Ishibashi Cultural Center which was donated by Ishibashi Shojiro who is the founder of Bridgestone Corporation, to his home town of Kurume.
In addition to Museum, the Ishibashi Cultural Center contains such facilities as a concert hall, culture hall, and library, which together with the flowers and plants of seasons that always fill the grounds, bring joy to visitors.
You are welcomed by Japanese Manneken Pis at the entrance.
