This newly introduced in 2005 "ekiben" is chicken broth flavour rice topped with teriyaki chicken, sesame seeds, and shredded scrambled egg, with a side of boiled fish sausage, scrambled egg square, seaweed roll, Yuzu citrus pickled radish topped with salmon roe - all for 382 Kcals. I felt it was one of the most low-fat of the "ekiben" I've tried. The taste is not bad, and is very plain and simple food, perhaps less exotic in terms of "local cuisine", as this sort of fare is generally available all over Japan. However, chicken is known to be a local specialty of Kyushu.

Generally, it is available for purchase only in this area, primarily at Ogura Station.

Manufactured by local company Kita-Kyushu Eki Bento KK which was founded in the year 1891, evolving from selling lunch boxes off train station platforms in this area to becoming a local catering and restauranteur of local dishes.
