by Gilam

Japan has such a rich and ancient culture that its nearly impossible to sum it up in one experience, but some thing I wouldn't miss would be:1. Bathing in an onsen (natural hotspring), preferably outside in the snow with hot sake2. A visit to the city of Kamakura outside Tokyo3. Eating at a Kai Ten Sushi (sushi-go-round)4. Sumo5. Going to a really good city arcade...Japanese arcades are the best...Try to find a SONY PLAZA I have so many...I miss the way the Shinto bells sounded on the hillside behind my apartment in the morning...I miss the social life, Japan is full of friendly people...the FOOD...the food is wonderful...

by yen_2

When you're a first timer in Japan you should try to eat the so called 'SUSHI' and visit it's Temples' and Castles that Japanese people are proud of with their traditional sightseeing. I would rather recommend you to visit the Emperial palace, the place of their Emperor and Empresses along time ago until the present. Tokyo skycrappers, you shouldn't want to miss the Golden Pavillion located south of Japan(Kyoto) and the Fuji-san(Mt. Fuji). I will surely miss the most in this place when I'm away is that the fast pace of technology and it's people that brings Japan to the top most of the many places I've visited. I just like it here...nahhh,,with such great food, I will surely miss this place when i'm away!

by smoothiegurl

Go to Aomori to visit the Big Budda. It's the largest in the country I believe. There are many shrines to visit there too. During the winter time makes Aomori all the more beautiful. One of my fondest memories is being able to participate in a Japanese parade. Dressed in the traditional kimono and Japanese woooden sandels, marched down the downtown streets of a small city near Misawa, Japan. I also miss going down the street called 'Green-pole' road (b/c of the green poles lining the street) in Misawa Japan, and going shopping at the Japanese Mall there. :)

Visit the Tokyo Fish Market at 4:00 in the morning when all the fishermen come in. Trust me, it's worth getting up for. I'll never forget the seven course dinner my father and I had. We met a business contact who was working there. We sat in our socks on a reed pad and ate, and drank, and ate and ate. It was an experience like none other.

Hiroshima bola pre nas...

by renuschka

Ticho, dazd a macky zalezene pod krikami su vasimi spolocnikmi. Mesto zije svojim rusnym dopravnym lomozom a ruinami tyciacimi sa do priestoru dokazuje svetu vacsiu nezmyselnost zhadzovania bomb ako ine mesta, ktore mali to stastie, ze ich si pri krutom vybere nikto nevsimol.
