I only have 3 h here, so just have a look the castle.

This castle is placed on top of Mt. Kinka (Kinkazan). Actually not so beautiful castle, but the view of city is good from here. The castle is famous because of Oda Nobunaga (usually the name appear in the samurai story), who lived here before.

There is a big clock infront of castle... antique !!

Gifu castle

The castle of Nobunaga's dream.
On each level you ‘ll find something worth watching. It’s a nice historical trip through the castle all the way to the tower.
The tower, there's no better place to have a view over Gifu city, the Nagara river and the far away mountains. The view is spectacular in all four directions. Night views are only possible in the summer.

On the east side of Gifu Castle is the Gifu Castle Museum. It’ s the former weapons and food storage building.

It' s about 200 Yen to enter the castle.

The garden is located in the northern Gifu park and made in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of friendship town affiliation of Gifu City and Hangzhou.

But now, it is look like an abandon park.

Nagara river

On these boats you can have you're dinner.
They also do exhibitions in "fishing with a bird".
During the night the boats have a fire on the back. Great view.

SARUBOBO - it means 'Happy Monkey Baby'. Long time ago mothers made it for their children hoping that they would be happy and healthy. I bought some for my dear friends, hoping them HAPPY!
