    I only have 3 h here, so just have a look the castle.This castle is placed on top of Mt. Kinka (Kinkazan). Actually not so beautiful castle, but the view of city is good from here. The castle is famous because of Oda Nobunaga (usually the name appear in the samurai story), who lived here before.There is a big clock infront of castle... antique !!

    If you want to visit Gifu Castle there are two possibilities to get there. One is by Ropeway (600 Yen).After you have to take steps to the castle. It’s a 8 minute walk. The other, off the beaten path, way is to completely climb the mountain. This will take about an hour. The road is not as good as the picture. The picture is from the last 8 minute walk.

    Hida Takayama is a very beautiful place. There are old rows of houses of Japan like Kyoto. It is cool in summer and is cold in winter. The cherry blossoms already fallen in Tokyo had not full bloomed yet there! 'Cherry blossoms' and 'the verdure of a willow' are the spring color of Japan.
