  • Calbee Potato Factory

Calbee is a brand of potato chips in Japan. They are my favorite!! I was so happy to happen upon Calbee Potato in Furano. Hokkaido is famous for potatoes, as well as sweet corn, seafood, & dairy products. I don`t know if they give tours of the factory (probably not), but I was happy just to take a picture next to the sign. :)

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I don`t know the name of this restaurant above a souvenir shop but the food here was really good! I came here as part of my package tour trip of Hokkaido. We had grilled lamb, famous in Hokkaido & hard to find elsewhere in Japan. It was sooooo delicious!! Everyone left the table with smiles on their faces.

This is a store located at Farm Tomita that sells giant size melons, famous in Hokkaido (and extremely expensive).

What to buy: If the price scares you, you can purchase a slice for a whopping 250yen!
