This year my boyfriend and I performed at the Muroran Jazz Cruise along with some incredible jazz students from Sapporo. We played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as a vocal abd soprano saxophone duet. Then we played "Summertime" and "Straight No Chaser" with those talented teens. We had a ball! Good food and good people are pleniful in Japan. We were even given yakarta as gifts to wear during the show. It was hot inside the warehouse but the overcast of clouds made it nice outside. Alll of the other musicians were excellent and we made a lot of connections. The concert is held in a warehouse by the water. Muroran is a port city so there were excellebt views of the city from the festival grounds. This festival is called a "cruise" but it does not take place on a ship. It is an annual event that takes place the 3rd weekend in August. There is live music. vendors, and food.
