World's Second Largest Park Bench
In Green Park (within walking distance of the train station) there is a 400m park bench. Maybe the bench isn't so spectacular but the park is nice. You'll find park golf, a zoo, a museum, an art gallery and a horticultural center all within the park.

Obihiro is in Hakkido. My sister's friend lives there and we call him 'grand-dad'. She met him in New Zealand in 1984 when she was an exchange student. It's a quite city, people are nice and helpful....
