Supposed to resemble a standing Buddha/monk? I'm not very clear how to translate, and I can't imagine it too well either.
The tree trunk with the name plaque nailed on it is stuffed with many coins for good luck in studies and romance.
Another of the rocks resembling a cat. On the morning of my departure from Rebun, the sun was brilliant and I could see birds roosting all over the cat. This must be one frustrated or peaceful cat.
The evening before, the cat was shrouded by mist from the rain which gave it a melancholic but somewhat heart-wrenching look.
This is a rock formation that resembles a peach. You can observe it from 2 observatories (I think). One of the observatory is actually near Motochi (probably about 20 minutes walk from there)
The other one, which I'm not confident of is a uphill climb from the mainroad near the Rebun-Rindo (this is also known as the flower course route?)
The "peach" is really green, and so are the surrounding mountain ranges. The green is so pure and saturated it looks right out of a postcard.
