Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It will probably rain if you are in Himeji in the spring and you will want an umbrella but I'd wait until you get there and buy one-there are adorable umbrellas in every color, size and pattern. They make a great souvenir too.

Luggage and bags: Himeji is most likely to be a daytrip visit from the Kansai region. In which case a small day backpack will suffice.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Himeji's weather is much the same as the rest of Japan. General rule of thumb, cold in winter, cool in autumn and spring and hot and humid in summer. Of course, rainy season (June/July) produces a lot of rain (as one would expect!) so don't forget an umbrella or rain coat.
Photo Equipment: Himeji Castle is so beautiful and you will definately need a camera when you come here!! I think the castle has interesting photo appeal all year round.
Miscellaneous: If you liked this page then I would love to hear about it. Also feel free to email me with any questions :-)

It`s hot & humid here in the summertime. It can get unbearable at times. If you can`t take it & need a break, go into one of the department stores near the station & cool off!
