Favorite thing: Located roughly in the center of Honshu, Japan's main island, Kobe is easily accessible by land, sea, and air. It is about 3 hours and 20 minutes from Tokyo by Bullet Train, and 25 minutes by high-speed boat from the Kansai International Airport. Together with Osaka and Kyoto, it forms the focal point for the economy of western Japan.
The city is divided into two sections by the Rokko Mountain Range: the southern part which faces the sea forms the urbanized area, while the western and northern sections, known collectively as the Seihokushin area, have become the scene for the construction of large-scale new towns that maintain harmony with their natural surroundings. The urbanized area occupying 30% of the city area stretches like a ribbon 30km east to west and 2 to 4km north to south, and is home to 70% of the population. Kobe has a 3-tier structure: a port and industrial zone along the coast, residential areas on the hillsides, and mixed residential and commercial areas in the intermediate zone between the mountains and the sea.

Fondest memory: On one of my business trips to Suma-ku, Kobe
I was having morning discussion at Mitsuboshi-Boeki office. At around 12:15PM or during lunch, English lesson class was being held and I was invited to participate. Mostly the employees at Mitsuboshi practicing English speaking and they wanted to ask me questions.
It was interesting, I had so much fun participating.
(no Japanese speaking allowed during this meeting) Our meeting lasted about forty five minutes and I got to experiance life from the Japanese poiny of view of USA. Many questions were asked about USA and California.

Fondest memory: ***Spring***
This is the most beautiful season in Kobe as well as
many other districts of Japan. You can see the pretty blossoms in some part of Kobe.
***New Year Season***
This is the biggest holiday of the year. Many people pay their first visit to Shinto Shrine in their district on the New Year's Day. We call it Hatsumode (first prayer visit). If you stay in Japan, why don't you join us!!!!!!!!!
(Left picture is the sight of Hatsumode)
