    Kobe city museum
We went to the museum for its special exhibition on impressionism (on loan from musee d'orsay). The permanent exhibition was alright - mostly on artefacts with buddhism influence.
Check its website for what new special exhibitions are coming up. The impressionism exhibition we went to cost 1500yen. Expensive but worth it, especially if you like art.

    Normal entrance fee: 200yen
Opening hrs: 10am-5pm, closed on mon

    Chinatown (Nankin-Machi): Kobe Chinatown
Unfortunately, we didn't have much time in Kobe, but we did get the chance to wander around Nanjing-machi.

I was surprised at the name, given the history of what happened in Nanjing during WW2, but it was fun to have a look around.
