Jajamen is an udon dish that is has cold over a hot and spicy miso paste.
at about 400 yen a bowl you can't go wrong. don't be surprised if you see a line of people waiting to get in. its that good!
Favorite Dish: they don't speak any english, so just ask for jajamen.

Favorite Dish: Wanko Soba (Buckwheat Noodles): Morioka's own special style of serving small, bite-size portions of noodles. Served in dainty lacquered bowls, the waitresses stand over you & continue serving until one gave up by placing the cover on your emptied bowl. It's a fun way of eating with friends.
Hitssumi (Dumplings): Also called 'Suiton', they are served with seasonal vegetables in a soy sauce based soup.
