Ippin ryori (one piece) menu, small meals that are about the size of appetizers. Gives you opportunity to try many different dishes without getting full on any single item.

Pontocho district

This alley is great for finding restaurants with ambiance. It used to be a red light district but now attracts many tourists as they light traditional Japanese lamps at dusk

Many couples along the river !

Along the Kamo river, restaurants are lined up with open air terrasse. The atmosphere is quiet and there is a good variety of food.

Favorite Dish: I tried a Sushi and sashimi place
