Favorite thing: Buy a digital camera like I did from LAOX. It's cheaper by at least 30% if one gets a Sony or any of the Japanese brands within Japan. On this trip I bought a Sony Cybershot P50.
Laox is famous in Japan. It can be found in Akihabara in Tokyo & many other cities as well. A multi media discount store & located just 1 min walk from east exit of Sendai Station.
There's also internet access here but I didn't have time to try that. Too much to do & see in Sendai!

Favorite thing: Not get lost in SENDAI JR STATION. One of the biggest station I've come across in Japan. Within the station, there is a fashion center lined with shops bearing famous names, & on the basement is a dining plaza offering all kind of cuisines & fast food.
To master one's way in this station is quite an accomplishment on its own!

Favorite thing: Shop !!!
AMS SEIBU: Featuring nearly 100 stores & shops operated by well-known domestic & overseas brands. This fashion center is extremely popular with the young people.
Muji store is on the basement level.

Fondest memory: Sendai JR Station left quite an impression on me. As soon as I'm out of the Station I'm further amazed by the modern & sophisticated look of this city. It's almost like a mini Tokyo except that it's a little cooler here & the crowd are smaller that those of Shinjuku.
I like this city & I'll definitely be back in the near future!

Favorite thing: I'm always impressed by the lightend up advertisments in Japanese cities. They just look overwhelming and often you cannot figure out what they are about but they just look great.

A: Not sure that this is correct. You can get the train from Sendai to Ishinomaki. The line from Ishinomaki to Onagawa though does still look to be inoperable.
