    Hanami! During the end of March, through May throughout Japan, a great tradition is viewing the cherry blossoms. People sit on blue tarps under the trees and drink sake or other alcohol and generally celebrate! In Sendai, some of the famous places for Hanami are Tsutsujigaoka Park, Nishi Park and Aoba Castle.

    The people are very deciplined, respectfull and cheering so need not worry about too much.Enjoy the moment while you're in there.

    GYUTAN (BEEF TONGUE): Sendai is the origin of various Gyutan dishes. Typically served with mugi-meshi (rice with boiled barley) & oxtail soup. Hmmmmmm, yummmmmy!!!
