This is quite an interesting and popular place. You can see how wasabi is grown, relax in a pleasant setting, and try all kinds of different wasabi flavoured foods. The wasabi icecream wasn't too bad at all.
It's about 2km from Hotaka station. I would recommend hiring a bike to get about if you don't have a car.

Japanese version of French cuisine. Reservations are necessary for the course dinner. I'm unsure if any English or French is spoken here, but the service was impeccable, as was the food.
Recommended.
Favorite Dish: The course tends to be whatever the chef has available on the day, but is excellent.

Bicycles are a great way of getting around this area.
There are several hire places around Hotaka station. Prices tend to be reasonable, and it's the best way of getting around the various attractions, given the lack of public transport.
