I nicknamed it 'Beppu castle' as it looked like a small one (from outside), but it turned out to be more like a temple (from the inside). People there showed me a big yellow ('golden') snake, which was brought from India to here. Very strange, but worthwhile to check out...

Beppu. Wellknown for it's natural hotsprings. A nice and touristic place. Be sure to enjoy the feeling of a traditional japanese bath.
