There is a monkey park here with three different tribes of monkeys. Each tribe has a set feeding time. The monkeys come down the mountain to be fed and if you pay 500yen, you can be a part of it.

There is 7 different jigoku which you can reach by bus. we were lucky and met two lovely girls who brought us to the next jigoku and then brought us even back home....that was nice!

It got another name as 'Wani Jigoku' (Crocodile Geyser) because its thermo heat is applied for the nearby crocodile farm.

The pool produces reddish steam due to its red clay sediment at the bottom. People use the red mud from this pool to produce a kind of cream that renown for skin disease cure.

Long time ago, the steam from this place was used to cook and serve people who come for the ceremony on spring and autumn. Thats the name 'Kamado' was derived from.

Boiling ponds of water with chalk and or sulfide. Depending on the composition of the pond, they have beautiful colors. Very beautiful to see what comes out of the earth.
