Yufuin Art Museum, is exhibiting the works of Kei Sato who is a painter and also a poet.Tadayoshi Sato was born in Hiroshima, the southern part of the central island of Japan in 1918. He named himself "Kei Sato" as a poet and painter. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Tokyo, and then entered a painting school in Tokyo. At the age of 21, he joined the army, and fought in one place after another in China until the armed forces was discharged, when he was 27.In 1948, at the age of 29, although he had started composing poetry, he devoted his all energies to painting, taking advantage of being selected for the first time for the exhibition of the Free Artists Institute.
