One of the few foreigner bars in Okayama, a favorite for South Americans, but other nationalities also frequent this bar. Most of the patrons are just out to have a good time (I've been in only two confrontations in 6 months, but people were there to break it up in no time --> overly jealous guy and some drunk dude just looking for a fight). Latin music is often played earlier in the evening, and after 1 the current top chart dance songs are played. Literally dead on the weekdays, it livens up a little on Friday (but it's mostly Salsa dance club members, and they are a bit clique-ish), and it ususally gets packed on a Saturday night after 1 and thins out at about 4. I don't actually know when the bar closes, but I've been there sobering up after too much tequila till 7:30.
There doesn't seem to be any particular dress code. Theme: DancingAddress: TamachiDirections: Walk down Momotaro (from Okayama St.), turn right down the 2nd street that runs along the canal, walk till you see a large park, turn left at the end of the park and walk two blocks up, take a right, and the Matador is on the 1st floor on the right.
