The Okayama Orient Museum is a really nice museum featuring artifacts from the Middle East. Most of the artifacts are from Persia (Iran) and Syria, but many nations are represented. The artifacts include pottery, textiles, jewelry, figurines/dolls, statues, mosaics, carvings, and religious objects, among other things. This museum may be particularly nice for those who are residing in Japan, because the museum features a different part of the world although, I think anyone can enjoy it! It only takes about an hour to see, and the price is nominal, so I highly recommend stopping by!
The cost is only 300 yen to enter (college students can get in for only 200 yen if you show them your university I.D.). It is closed on Mondays.

The Orient museum in Okayama is an intriguing museum, full of Middle Eastern artefacts from another time. It's a little gem of a museum, and only costs 300 yen or so to get in.
