If you are planning a trip to Okayama, be aware that many of the museums are closed on Mondays, and a few attractions are closed on other days, so depending on where you want to go, plan accordingly. As is true with most places, weekends are best.

-Ashimori Clan Samurai Residence (Closed Mondays)
-Yumeji Art Museum (Closed Mondays)
-Kirin Beer Park (Closed Mondays)
-Handayama Botanical Garden (Closed Tuesdays)
-Tokoen Garden (Closed Wednesdays)
-RSK Rose Garden (closed Wednesdays, but no closing days from April to June or October through November)
-Ikeda Zoo (Closed on Wednesdays sporadically throughout the year. It's best to check their website for exact dates)
