Located near gate 2 of Kadena AB is this quaint Irish pub. The pub usually opens from 1900(?) to 0300. If you crave Guinness and some fish and chips this a place to be. Be warned that this place is full of US military personnel especially on the weekends.

Okinawan bat resting

One evening in Okinawa we noticed large flying objects that could not be birds because they had no tails, and they were much too large. When we examined the nearby trees we found they were loaded with cute furry bats. I think they are fruit eaters (not vampire blood suckers) - but who knows?

Dress Code: these bats were quite naked
