My fiance`and I met one of the chefs (Pierro) while out on the town in Okinawa one night. I felt this restaurant is rather tucked away and not a lot of information available about it, hence why I wanted to write a raving review. I would have never found this hidden gem if we didn't meet him. There are two chefs, both from Italy - Roma and Venice, so...more
The weather on Okinawa is subtropical and just gorgeous most of the time. There is a rainy season that lasts about 2 or 3 weeks and it doesn't get cold. However, Okinawa has it's share of typhoons. These can be really powerful storms and can/do kill people here each year. Do not get the idea that there is death and destruction like in the states...more

The Battle of Okinawa was one of the bloodier battles of the war, and the southern part of the main island, particularly present day Itoman city is where a lot of death and suffering took place as the Japanese army fought a battle of attrition, hoping to buy some time for the defence of the mainland.
This museum shows the battle from an Okinawan perspective, and is well worth a visit in order to understand what happened
I like video games and I could find various types as shooting, dancing, driving, some requires more physical efforts as basketball and table tennis with real balls.
I tried the Taiko (Drums) following the cartoon Doraemon's song and I liked that.
Don't miss the 3D movie session with realistic movements.
Also, you can find bowling, American stores, restaurants and shopping area at Chatan Village.
