Located in the Shinsaebashi area, right beside the stream.
Hard to miss it, as it's big and yellow.

I was told this place was ok to shop at, as it's a Japanese discount chain. I was nonplussed.

Tons of yummy imported beer, at ok prices.
I filled a bag, and went back later for more.

Shenanigans were had at customs, getting a backpack full of Chimay into my next country...

Plenty of girly shops here, like fashion.
And there's a Loft and Daimaru as well!
The shop Afternoon Tea should not be missed... plus you can have tea and scones there too!

Spanning from about Honmachi subway stn to Dotonbori Street.

It's a shopping street, leading onwards to Ebisu shopping street n takashimaya. Lots fo variety of stuff, usu clothes, bags, accesories, cosmetics etc.

What to pay: Probably from 4000-6000 at least for some decent quality stuff. I bought gloves, jackets, bags, cosmetics. A japanese school bag which I bought for my sis costs 6500yen.

Shinsaibashi Suji stretches from Namba north to Hommachi, giving the shopper almost 1.5 km of shopping fun.
Shinsaibashi suji is perhaps the most telling evidence of Osakas steady emergence from years of recession. When I arrived 3 years ago, much of the retail space was taken up by general purchase and 100 yen stores. These days however, these are steadily disappearing to be replaced by more recognised, costlier brands, such as Paul Smith, Sketchers, Body Shop and The Disney Store.

What to buy: Everything from burgers to books and clothes to crepes are available underneath this covered pedestrian street.

The Daimairu department store is very classy store. The interieur is looking rich.
On the 8th floor there is a museum / gallery.
Sonia (Heywinks) gave us two tickets for an exhibition there. It was art from the Museum John Paul II. The Caroll-Porczynski Foundation.
Some first class paintings there from Rubens and van Dyck amongst others. But the exhibition ended at april 15. So check if there is any other exhibition when you are there.

The entire street is full of all sort of shops. There are trendy clothes, cosmetics, and ofcourse lots of mobile phones. And if you can´t get enough of the shopping, or if it is raining: At the end (or the beginning) of the covered street is the Crysta underground mall. This is a huge underground mall under the Nagahori dori.

Shinsaibashi is an area of Osaka where shops line the streets. It`s a very fashionable area & you can find alot of designer shops here from abroad (Armani Exchange, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc). There is The Loft here & Tokyu Hands (stores where you can find anything!!). Department stores like Sogo & Daimaru are here as well.
You could very well spend a whole day shopping in Shinsaibashi. And Namba is just a few blocks down the street.
Shinsaibashi is also home to American Mura (American Village). American goods can be purchased here (alot of used clothing stores!!).
