Making pilgrimage to Fudo-son (temples) is one of japanese traditional trials.
I don't know how many exactly, but there are lots of Fudo-son all over Japan.

The temple itself is small and nicely desolate.
After or before paying a visit of it, you can take a bath in the ryokan near the temple unless you don't stay in.

About 30min drive deeper from the campground, you will find a guide board to this temple.
This god is Fudo Myo-O and with this angry face he is watching the evils.

It's one of famous tourist attractions there called 'Rhine Cruise'.
I don't know why but there are many famous 'Rine Cruise' spots in Japan's glens.
You don't have to visit Germany, you can do it everywhere in Japan.
