Genkyuen Garden is a very bautiful Japanese garden. This was made by the fourth governor of Hikone, Naooki Ii in 1677. The big pond is made to have the same shape as Lake Biwa. You can walk around the pond.
And by the pond there is an old Japanese style tearoom, where you can have Japanese tea and sweets for 500 yen.
Since this garden is next to Hikone Castle, you can also enjoy the view of the castle from here.

*the entrance fee is 500 yen ( you can enter both Hikone Castle and Genkyuuen with the ticket )
