This seasonal delicacy is available throughout Shizuoka, where spring comes a little earlier than elsewhere in the country.
The strawberry-picking season lasts from January to May. The famous "stone wall strawberries" of Kunozan are grown on stone walls..
The strawberries in the picture are from a store.....the price 50 dollars...:)))
You will pay around 1500 yen ...for picking your own at the stone wall....and is all you can eat......

Shizuoka's mikan are grown on sunny slopes, such as the north shore of Lake Hamanako in the west and along the coast of Suruga Bay in the east.
The harvest ranks among the largest in the nation.
Dont miss eating some when in the area....around winter time they are at their best

HANSHARO BEER, Restaurant Kuraya Narusawa
in Nirayama Town.
Hansharo is built to produce the shells for the maritime defense in the shogunate era. Egawa-Taro-Zaemon built it. The name of the best beer in Nirayama town 'Taro-Zaemon' is named after him.
Favorite Dish: Seafood and Nijimasu fishes,
Yakiniku, a Japanese style roast beef.
The most delicious beer may be Taro-Zaemon.
