Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour, Tokyo Disneyland

by hopang

Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour was a 15 minute exciting walk through guided tour in the dark through halls and caverns at Cinderella Castle at Fantasyland at the center of Tokyo Disneyland Resort. It was opened to the public in 1983. Unfortunately it closed permanently in 2006. The Cinderella Castle itself is a popular landmark of Tokyo Disneyland. It is certainly a child's favourite structure and symbol at the Disneyland. The Cinderella Castle is brightly and colourfully illuminated at night - truly an ideal spot to have your souvenir snapshot taken either day or night!

by hopang

It's a Small World is a favourite family attraction at Tokyo Disneyland and can be enjoyed by persons of all ages. It is certainly one of the most popular Tokyo Disney attractions, if not the most popular. We certainly have enjoyed this attraction! You will be taking a 10 minute spectacular boat ride along the canal to meet hundreds colourful animatronic dolls representing the children of the world designed by Walt Disney Company. The tilte song was composed by the Sherman Brothers and is sung in Japanese and several other languages. The exterior facade of the building is amazing and spectacular and is ceratinly one of the landmarks of Tokyo Disneyland. It's a Small World is sponsored by UNICEF.

Captain EO was one of the most popular Disney attractions at Tokyo Disneyland. It was located at Magic Eye Theater at Tomorrowland. It was a 70 mm 3D space adventure with special effects starring Michael Jackson and Angelica Houston. The 3D film was produced by George Lucas, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and designed by Walt Disney Imagineering. It featured two popular songs by Michael Jackson known as "we are here to change the world" and "another part of me". It opened at Tokyo Disneyland in 1987 but unfortunately closed in 1996. Not many younger generation youths have the opportunity to watch this special effects 3D film, it has to be said!

by hopang

Star Tour is one of the most popular Disney attractions at Tokyo Disneyland especially among the Japanese youths. Star Tour is located at Tomorrowland. It is a five minute thrill ride based on the classic and successful Star Wars movie produced by George Lucas. You will be taking a ride through outer space into a galaxy in a 40 seat cabin using flight simulator technology. Star Tour opened at Tokyo Disneyland in 1989 and is sponsored by Panasonic. Travelling in Tokyo/Kyoto with a tight schedule

by joiwatani

Wow, looks like you have a very tight schedule. There are many things to see in Tokyo also if you have tight schedule. If I were you, I would sleep during my flight so when it's time for me to get out from the plane, I am already fully recovered and start touring right away. Since you are arriving on July 17 at 3:00 pm, you might like to book your train right away to Kyoto so you can arrive there just right on time to spend the night in Kyoto.July 17- Tokyo-Kyoto - Take a train ride to Kyoto. Arrive in Kyoto. Just refresh, eat out at a local restaurant, have a good night sleep to fully recover from your flight and train ride then go visit the temples the next day at 7:00 am. Make sure to book your train and your hotels in Kyoto right now so you won't be spending time booking when you get there because you do have a tight schedule...July 18 - 7:00 am - Have breakfast early so you are out...

Tokyo | Day trip to Fuji San and Hakone

by chibi_fr

If you're not a climber, you can book a day trip to see the Fuji San and Hakone. You will meet your guide (japanese speaking english) and the rest of your group in Tokyo and then a bus will drive you to different places around Mount Fuji. I've book my trip on internet (Octopus Travel) and was very happy with it. We had a stop for lunch (which was included in the price). We've first been to Fuji san (but that day was cloudy so not that nice), then we've visited Hakone (we took a ropeway) where we eat strange eggs ^_^ and then we ended with a short cruise on the lake Ashi.

Tokyo | Odaiba | Ooedo Onsen Monogatari

by chibi_fr

Onsens (hot sping) are very popular in Japan. There are traditionnal and modern onsen.Ooedo Onsen Monogatari is a modern one situated in Daiba district. You have to try onsen if you go to Japan !! The only thing is to accept to be naked with other people (female and males are, of course, separated in 2 different baths). But, trust me, japanese people are used to onsen and as occidental female, I've felt quickly comfortable. My husband and I used to spent like 30mn in our onsen and then, we went to one of the restaurants, having some drinks and something to eat.It is very relaxing after a day of walk in Tokyo !!
