Shimokitazawa is filled with "live houses" AKA music clubs where you can check out the local indies music scene. The district is popular with the college-age crowd and also features many second hand clothing stores and CD/DVD stores. Wandering around you may also find the rehearsal studio where many of the local band's practice. Don't be afraid to take the plunge and see some local live music - I haven't run into a bad band yet so it's really just a matter of finding a style you're into. Cave Be is a venue that specializes in Rock/Pop Rock/Pop musical acts. Depending on the night a ticket for entry is about 10,000 yen (US $10) with a purchase of a mandatory drink ticket. In exchange your treated to a line up of 3-4 musical acts. The venue is located on the basement level of a building on one of Shimokitazawa's side street's (check the website for a map on how to navigate your way there)....
A MOST FASCINATING THING TO DO IS CRUISE THE STREETS OF ROPPONGI AT EARLY EVENING OR LATER AS THE NIGHT INTENSIFIES ...IT IS A TOTALLY HAPPENING PLACE FOR THE NIGHT LIFE MINDED!!!! SO MUCH TO DO!! !Night is a friend to Roppongi and to its inhabitants of party-goers and pleasure-seekers. The streets are filled with beautiful people stumbling about in a haze as they hop from club to club. In rich, rolling Nigerian accents, club hawkers call out to the passing crowds inviting them with promises of fun and people. Perhaps it’s the blinding flashing lights, the blaring%c music or the alcohol , but the insides of the popular clubs do boast a population of the most incredibly good-looking, charismatic people who personify the word “cool.” It’s the type of place that any trendy groupie with low self esteem would aspire to become part of. UPDOWN

IF ONE IS A NIGHTLIFE PERSON OR JUST WANTS TO SEE WHAT NIGHTLIFE IS ALL ABOUT IN TOKYO....YOU HAVE TO GO TO ROPPONGI!!!!!! THAT IS THE HAPPEN PLACE OF A NEVER DULL MOMENT....THE NEW YORK..LAS VEGAS..HOLLYWOOD OF JAPAN AND TOKYO.. ALL OF ROPPONGI IS BUZZING!!!!!! CASUAL TO BIG TIME UPTOWN LOOK!!!!!

IF YOU LOVE THE BEATLES YOU GOT TO CHECK THIS CLUB OUT!!!!! THE BAND THAT USUALLY PLAYS HERE IS THE "SILVER BEAT"...WITH SOME NICE BEATLES SONGS..THEY ROCK THE HOUSE WITH THEIR COOL RENDITION OF BEATLES' TUNES!!! !Cover ¥1,575 ($15), plus a 1 drink minimum and 10% service charge CASUAL !!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!

Shibuya is the entertainment district of Tokyo. Lots of clubs and restaurants catering to all different types. Club Asia is espescially good!!! Roppongi (sorry for spelling) is for the people who just want to get drunk and laid. Shibuya is for the people who like to go out and have fun.... more upscale than roppongi. Dress smart!
This is the area of Tokyo for gay people. Many bars and clubs are here. You can also find host bars, saunas, sex-clubs and escort boy bars.Um... I hear some gaijin say that the area is a bit racist, but my gaijin friends never say that. They know the area better than me and enjoy it completely. Some cruising spaces do only let certain guys in... but that's not usually based on race. Some places may be for Japanese guys who like Japanese guys so that isn't a place for a foreign visitor, but then I can't get into a bear bar either as I am not that "type" of guy... I don't go run scream RACISM because of that... I realise that unlike other areas Japan's nichome has many specialist bars and if you respect that and you'll have a great time. After all, there are a large number of gaisen bars that specialise in Japanese guys who are into foreigners. Can't we all just think of others? Like the...

The action doesn't get under way until about 11 pm. Most people planning a night out head to the bar on the last train & stumble home on the first train the next morning. A taxi ride will surely be very expensive unless your destination is close. There's a concentration of gay/lesbian bars in Shinjuku 2-chome (2 = “ni”). Many of the bars and clubs are for men only, but a few bars allow mixed groups. Ni-chome is probably not the most exciting place to spend your “night-out in Tokyo” in.Kabuki-cho in Shinjuku was the "seedier " side of town, though it has some fun little drinking spots. A favourite with the locals having a person who knows the area is certainly a huge advantage.Roppongi is probably the most popular place for tourists to drink & go clubbing. English is widely spoken and the area is full of non-Japanese people. Roppongi has a wide range of bars & clubs that cater to most...

This is what the Japs like for nightlife. I try to understand it but it's to no avail. Why? Why? Why?Next time may be you can try interviewing the Japanese & let me know why they like this "sport"! or rather "spot".It's a billion $ industry...Amazing!It's what I called the fixation fascination! Plus fun, I suppose. This actually reminds me of a cog in the wheel cycle of life... it's as if people are living life on an assembly line. Day & night, they have to work on something... the act of feeling productive, perhaps?Pachinko's design is similar to that of the vertical version of pinball machine. The main aim of the players is to drop the ball into holes. At the end of the game, the balls are exchanged for prizes.
