Keishoan (Yakitori): Best Yakitori (Chicken Kebab) in Shinjuku
You're alone in Shinjuku and you're petrified at the thought of eating raw fish. Well, you don't have to. The best thing to eat over there is actually YAKITORI, a tasty, smoke-infused chicken kebab ,grilled over hot toasty coals. One taste of this goodie on a stick and you'll be transported to food haven.
If you ask any Japanese salary man in Shinjuku where the best Yakitoti can be eaten, they'll tell that it can be found many of the run down shacks in '*** alley' . I beg to differ, ambience counts just as much and I would rather have it in this pleasant eatery. For Y2800, I can have a nice 7 course 'kaiseki' meal of skewered chicken and vegetables. Simple and delicious. The free-range grilled chicken served here is the absolute best. If you're feeling adventurous like me, you can try crunchy chicken gizzard and chicken liver Like foie gras, it is rich, tender and fatty all at the same time. Don't believe me? Why just look at the picture and tell me what you think.
New York Grill: Best Champagne Brunch in Shinjuku
Remember the film site for Lost in Translation? Well, if you can't afford to stay in that luxurious, I guess the next best thing you can do is to eat a champagne brunch in one of their spectacular restaurants. For Y5,800, you can have a nice Sunday brunch with a glass of champagne. It includes a main dish and a DESSERT buffet! Yum, for an even cheaper deal, drop in on a weekday and it'll cost you Y4,200 (US$38) minus the bubbly.
One of the many restaurants in the back alleys: Freshly Grilled Seafood
There are many seafood restaurants in Shinjuku that needs no advertisements or maps. You can simply locate them by following the scent of freshly grilled prawns and fish ! Oiishi !

Sangoku-ichi: Good food, cheap drinks and great prices
Sangoku-ichi is an udon restaurant. Prices are good, the food is good and it’s a great place to have a party.
They have spacious rooms, a variety of food and can handle large parties or small groups. Staff is quick and attentive.
They have an English menu as well.
Favorite Dish: The 1,500 yen all you can drink (2 hours). You won't find a better deal in Tokyo!
Dining Out .53: At the top area of Shinjuku Center Building
Dining Out .53 is one of the restaurants at the topmost part of Shinjuku Center Building. Its lunch cost 1,450 yen. Even though Japanese business people hate to dine for more than 1,000 yen under the tight budget, this place seems to be popular. The reason is semi all-you-can-eat style buffet. First you choose the core meal and the rest is limited all-you-can-eat. At dinnertime you can have full all-you-can-eat choosing all sort of foods for 3,500 yen for two hours. I guess it is rather fit for dinnertime when you can enjoy the night views from the skyscraper about 200 meters in height.
