RUNNING THE METRO

by Onedragon

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN CALL IT A SPORT..BUT IT KEEPS ONE BUSY !!!!! AND THAT IS RUNNING THE SUBWAY AND METRO IN ORDER TO CATCH THE TRAIN ON TIME... I AM ALWAYS SO HAPPY TO GET TO THE TRAIN BEFORE OR JUST BEFORE IT LEAVES TO THE DESTINATION I AM IN PURSUIT OF !! : ) SO ..GET READY. .AND GO..GO ..GO !!! !Train stops are announced in both English and Japanese. Announcements also provide connecting line information. Ticketing machines can switch between English and Japanese user interfaces. Train stations are signposted in English and Japanese (in kanji and hiragana). Train stations are now also consecutively numbered on each color-coded line, allowing even non-English speakers to be able to commute without necessarily knowing the name of the station. For example, Shinjuku Station on the Marunouchi Line is also signposted as M-08 with the familiar red colored circle surrounding it;...

Sumo, is a Japan's National Sports

by gogonicetrip

Sumo, Japan's National Sport, not only Japanese but an increasing number of non-Japanese among its funs.In Sumo, two wrestlers face off in the middle of the Dohyo (ringed platform) measuring 4.55 meters in diameter. Clad only in Mawashi, they first engage in pre-bout ritual such as striking fearsome poses and scattering purifying salt on the ring, all of which actions are part of Sumo's ancient tradition. This ritual is one of the aspects that particularly appeals to foreign fans.Although there are 70 different ways to win a bout.Wrestlers are ranked after each tournament on the basis of their won/lost record. The top rank of Yokozuna has been conferred upon over 60 men.[Back to Home of Tokyo-to]

Soccer in central Tokyo

by Rebecca_jp

You can find many soccer fans in this city, just go to Yoyogi Park on sundays and you will find a group of young crazy japanese guys willing to get more people to have a soccer match. If you see a tiny goal in the park is because they are around, you will be always welcome to join.
