Favorite thing: If you're visiting Tokyo, Metropolis is a good magazine to pick up.
Although a lot of the content is aimed at Expats living in Japan, the event and restaurant listings are worth having a look at.

Favorite thing: A very good internet resource on restaurants in Japan. You can search by names, by type of food and and locations. Every restaurant has its own little introduction, menu, map and contact details! Some ever have people's comment~ It helped me find quite some amazing restaurants in Tokyo~
Of cuz you gotta know a little bit of Japanese to access this site~
