    Luggage and lockers

    Favorite thing:
At Narita International Airport, delivery service counters will send luggage to your hotel the next day or from your hotel to the airport for about ¥2,000 for bags up to 20 kilograms .

Coin-operated lockers are located at all major JR stations, such as Tokyo, Shinjuku, and Ueno, as well as at most subway stations.

Lockers cost ¥300 to ¥700 depending on the size.

Favorite thing: Lockers everywhere in Tokyo. You'll find at each train station, main shopping clubbing areas. You don't have to worry carrying big bags, there's always space for you to lock your things for few hours.

    Packed.

Favorite thing: Make use of locker in all major station. I helps a lot if you wish to travel light. The locker is big enough for a backpack. Anyway, don't forget to "people watching" when you reach the station. Haha, it's linda fun. So many of them running around. No kidding, they are running!

Fondest memory: Price starts from 300 to 100yen. Expensive? Consider the energy and trouble you save.

When Travelling with Luggage to Your Hotel/Motel

by Breen Written Jun 22, 2004

Favorite thing: I learned this the hardway. Make sure your luggage has more than just handles or a carry strap, this is a country that investing in airline luggage with wheels and a pull strap will really help you get around. Considering the amount of walking you are going to be doing in Tokyo, including in the stations, it is best to have something easy to carry with you.

    Lockers for your bags.

    by A2002 Written Oct 12, 2002

Favorite thing: There are lockers of various sizes for your luggages or shopping in most train stations. We had problem finding a locker available on a Sunday afternoon in Tokyo Station. There are lotsa lockers, but are all occupied. The bigger the locker, the more expensive it is. You pay for 24hrs. Cheapest is JPY300 for the smallest locker suitable for a daypack.

Fondest memory: Busy, fast paced, lotsa people.
