The Odaiba district is near the seaside and is considered Tokyo's "Futuristic Shopping and Nightlife Area". It is also a really great spot to take a date in Tokyo. It is also a man-made island, which should be impressive enough!
Besides the shopping, there are plenty of places to see and eat at. It also had the most impressive movie theatre I have ever been to in my life!
Dress Code: Depends where you are going. Most Japanese people dress at least Business Casual, so you will feel out of place in jeans and a T-shirt. Some places will also be better visited in a suit.
Odaiba: Sega Joypolis

When you see Tokyo at night...
When you see Tokyo at night you will see a Ferris wheel in changing colors and patterns. The wheel is located in Rinkai Fufutoshin ( Rainbow town) And the area has some of Tokyo's newest most modern areas. There is Joypolis , a gameroom with virtual reality games computer games and small roller coaster like games and plenty of other distractions . For more info on it you can go here :
http://www.sega.co.jp/sega_e/atp/tokyo/home.html Next is 'The ride to the Future' , A 3d ride on a roller coaster in the dark. The funniest thing about the ride is when the Japanese workers at the ride go over all the warnings and instructions and you don't know what the heck they're saying you just nod and smile and they nod and smile and everyone hopes you're not missing and important piece of information that will send you flying off the ride. But it was a great ride. There is also Venus Fort http://www.venusfort.co.jp , a great new Mall of beautiful stores under a painted sky overhead . Well worth a trip. Also along the way to rainbow town you'll see impressive modern architecture, The Exhibition Hall, Maritime museum and a really funky building with a globe in the middle of it. Many other sites also. To get to rainbow town takethe 'Yurikamome' http://www.bigsight.or.jp/english/access/yurikamo.htm which is one of the newer transit systems in Tokyo. It Originates at the Shimbashi station which you can get to from the JR line. The Yurikamome has several stops tha let you off at different areas The last stop is Ariake. It' s best to go to the last stop if you want to see some of the fancy architecture then get back on the train and work your way back to the interesting places. The Line is not that big , much more like a monorail at Disneyland.Remember to bring plenty of Yen.

After 6pm, there is big discount in entrance fee. You can try different Japanese cuisine inside. Also, you can try different hot spring. You can try many traditonal Japanese games. And of course massage available! You can stay overnight on the cosy armchair in the 2nd floor resting area.
Dress Code: You have 8 different traditional Japanese yukata for you to choose. Very interesing experience. I have no idea how to wear it and so ask help from Japanese girl in the changing room. Japanese are so nice and helpful! :)
