Parks, Yards, Gardens and Squares: Hama Rikyo Garden
You should try to visit the Hama Detached Palace Garden (Hama Rikyu) if you go to Tokyo. It's a vast garden on Tokyo Bay with a salt water pond (tidal pond, the water rises and falls with the tide of the ocean - rare type of pond in Japan, I think one of the last ones left), an attractive tea house where you can have some matcha tea (whisked green tea) and some sweets for about $6, some flower beds, and a ferry terminal that will get you up the Sumida River to Asakusa.

People and Life: Part of the city's life
You'll see it all over, that's it the vending machines!

Huge machines all over the city, in a unexpected place you'll find one. Not only cold drinks, you can buy hot coffee also! They're are quite fascinating if you haven't seen it before...
After these ones, the rest of vending machines are probably a bit boring and simple.

Tokyo, JAPAN...Without game machines...Will be like Venice without gondolas, Belgium without beer or India without films...
Game machines are to be found I'll say probably anywhere, and isn't a kids or teenagers thing this one, no. You'll get bored of seeing an adult man with their work suit having a go. Game machines are for everyone and there are games to please any ones fantasies.

Bikes are part of Tokyo's city landscape also.
Parked in order, usually all look the same, nothing too flash neither too naff. Driven by old or young, men or women, it is a good way of moving around Tokyo, considering how expensive is the transport in this city.

I couldn't resist of making a photography of this road with its japanese writing. I find them very funky, maybe is because I don't know what it says, but they are really cool!

And what a funny sightseeing is to find in Tokyo another Statue of Liberty!

Japan will surprise you for various reasons, but I doubt that leaves you indifferent...

A country of many contrasts and in Tokyo you'll see it and experiment the japanese live!
