Midori Sushi: Fresh Sushi at it's best

If you have a real affinity for sushi, go to Midori Sushi. There's two that I know (one in Shibuya Mark City and another in Shimokitazawa). Everytime though this place has been packed so get there early. They offer standard items (maguro, eel slabs, amai ebi), but what really stands out are the portions and freshness. The mark of excellent sushi to me is the freshness level of the sashimi, which means how smooth and tender the fish is. At this place, the sashimi literally melts on your tongue. Good sushi is an experience not just something to dampen your appetite.

Favorite Dish: amaiebi (sweet shring) and eel. The amaiebi is one of those items that can melt on the tip of your tongue. This place offers generous sized shrimp. Also, the eel is fantastic as the slabs are fairly large, although they do have bones. But they cover it with a nice tare sauce that contrast most of the wasabi/soy sauce tastes.
