    Taiyaki - Fish-shaped cake

Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped cake. It made using pancake or waffle batter poured into fish-shaped waffle iron molds and cooked on both sides to a golden brown. It's traditionally filled with red bean paste, made from sweetened azuki beans but it's common to find it filled with custard, chocolate, cheese, taro (purple sweet potato), and chestnut paste.

Taiyaki is traditionally found at festivals and at street food stalls but I found this shop specializing in taiyaki in the streets leading up to the Sensoji Shrine (Asakusa Kannon Temple).
