Like a good, quick bowl of tempura? Hit the Tenya chain sometime then. This place was better in quality than most tempura places I've eaten in the states. They serve the tempura with a tare (sweet) sauce and the bowls can be customized in size (from futsu [normal], to small and large [omori]). Typically served with miso soup and hot or cold tea depending on the time of the year. Also each season this store offers a special bowl. For instance, winter has a tasty "fuyudon" which has Hokkaido crab included. If you're new to Japan and just want a good bowl, but can't make up your mind either try the tendon (standard tempura bowl) or the ebidon (shrimp tempura)
Favorite Dish: Fuyudon; the crab is quite tasty, but it only comes during the winter. Best of the seasonal specialties from this place.
