New Torigin: Great Yakitori experience hidden away in Tokyo

Small, traditional and reasonably priced Yakitori restaurant with English menu and English speaking staff, whilst it doesn't look much outside to look at the food and service was excellent. The bill amounted to $16 per head and this included the most expensive bottle of red wine on the menu, 8 skewers of yakitori between us and Kamameshi (steamed rice with chicken at 800 yen which was plenty for two people and there were other options if you prefer the rice mixed in with something other than chicken).

It opens at 5pm and we arrived just after and already customers were flowing in. Always a good sign as well when all the other customers are Japanese. We were also brought green tea afterwards and the staff were happy with our efforts to order in Japanese.

Recommended in Lonely planet or otherwise it is unlikely we would have not come across it due to it's location down a little alley way.

Would have eaten there again but unfortunately only discovered it on our last night but was a very pleasant way to spend our last evening in Tokyo.

Favorite Dish: It was all really good
